Maggie Valley, NC is such a fun place to visit. It's a neat town with a laid back feel. It's like you can go there to take a deep breath and relax.
This was the first trip where snow was involved. Well - snow and ICE. We had a great view of the mountains while we were stuck in a ditch up close to the top of the mountain. We hit a patch of ice and slide backwards into a ditch towards the mountain. Praise God we didn't go off the other side! Thank goodness for the little mountain man and his side kick for getting us out! After we got back down the mountain the rental agency had a cabin lower down the mountain that didn't need 4 wheel drive to reach. I was so happy we didn't have to go back to the top to get to a cabin!
It was snowing a little the next morning so we bundled up and headed out to play. We all had fun walking around and playing. Little did we know it would snow all day!
Throwing snow balls was so much fun for them. Jackson liked to hit everyone and then he started climbing up the mountain. And then that's all he wanted to do. Climb up a mountain covered in snow. That's sounds super safe! UGH!
And Carter smacked me right in the face with a huge snow ball. Haha! He had so much fun. He was filthy from all the rolling around and climbing. Leave it to him to get nasty from playing in snow! Seriously he had FUN and that's all that matters to me. :)
Miles threw his fair share of snow but this boy wanted to roll around in it. Every time I looked at him he was on his stomach in the snow.
After a long morning of playing (climbing) we went in to warm up and watched it snow.
After lunch we went back out and it was a winter wonderland. Snow had covered the roads and it was so pretty!
I had to prove we were there too!
We walked and played forever on this road. It was so much fun exploring!
Could this view every get old? I mean if we had 4 wheel drive and didn't have to leave the house I would have loved it more!
